Weekend in Sofia

Day 1: Transfer from Sofia International Airport to hotel. Night in Sofia.

Day 2: Guided tour of Sofia, capital of Bulgaria, along the university of St Kliment Ohridski and the National Library, Cathedral Alexander Nevski, Parliament, Russian church St Nikolay with characteristic architecture, church Sainte Sofia, National Art Gallery, St George Rotunda, National Theatre Ivan Vazov.
In the afternoon, visit of the magnificent Rila Monastery, one of the symbols of Bulgaria, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built in 10th century, it is now one of the must-see visits in the country.

Day 3: Free time in the Bulgarian capital.
Optional tour (with supplement): Guided visit to Plovdiv, one of the oldest cities in Europe and European capital of culture in 2019.

 

Day 4: Return transfer to Sofia International Airport
